Day 46 of 365 new ways to a new you. Congratulations, you have made it this far. Today is the first day of the rest of your life. Are you ready for tomorrow? This is part of a series that is going to span 365 days. Some things will be subtle other activities will be more involved. At the end of the 365 days even if you do only 20 of these things you will be a new person, for better or for worse.

Before I begin with day forty six, I must defer you to our Terms and Conditions .

“Religious hermits are often sought out for spiritual advice and counsel and may eventually acquire so many disciples that they have no physical solitude at all. Examples include Anthony the Great, who attracted such a large body of followers in the Egyptian desert that he is considered by both Catholics and the Orthodox to be the “Founder of Monasticism”, and Gautama Buddha, who, having abandoned his family for a solitary quest for spiritual enlightenment, became the founder of Buddhism.” ~Wikipedia

Day 46: Be a hermit for the day
Stay inside and don’t interact with anyone for a day. Non interaction includes, phone conversations, e-mails, instant messenger, and of course in person meetings. Also refrain from listening to music, television, or the radio.

The objective is to be completely alone and isolated. When we are alone and in isolation we have opportunity to reflect upon ourselves. This reflection gives us opportunity to learn more about who we are and what we want. Being in isolation also gives one opportunity to experience life without humankind.
