“The first recorded messages in bottles were released around 310 BC by the Ancient Greek philosopher Theophrastus, as part of an experiment to show that the Mediterranean Sea was formed by the inflowing Atlantic Ocean” ~Wikipedia
Day 37: Create a message in a bottle
Write a message, draw a picture, and place it in a bottle. It can be a glass bottle with a cork or an unbreakable plastic bottle. Imagine what you would want to find if you found a message in a bottle? Would you expect money? Perhaps a map to buried treasure. It could even be the cliche “Help, I am stranded on a deserted island.” letter. Whatever it is be creative.
A friend of mine once found a message in a bottle and it said “I do believe in fate.” In addition to the message the letter had a girl’s name and phone number on it. While you are welcome to leave a similar message, you may want to consider something more creative. You could make a treasure map and leave GPS coordinates to find your treasure. The goal is to provide a bit of mystique and intrigue in someone’s life while at the same time begin a new dialogue.
