Day 67 of 365 new ways to a new you. Congratulations, you have made it this far. Today is the first day of the rest of your life. Are you ready for tomorrow? This is part of a series that is going to span 365 days. Some things will be subtle other activities will be more involved. At the end of the 365 days even if you do only 20 of these things you will be a new person, for better or for worse.

Meditation, has numerous benefits amongst them are reducing stress as well as promoting better health. Both of these have been proven in scientific study. While these activities have asked you to meditate before, we are going to go one step further.

Day 67: Meditate for as long as you are able
The purpose of meditating all day or as long as you can tolerate tests two things. One is your own perseverance, how long before you break? Can you go all day or just for 3 hours? The other purpose is the long term effects of entering a theta brain wave state. These will stay with you for sometime giving you a more mellow personality. The true challenge may be not to fall asleep. How long can you silence the ever wandering monkey mind?

    is it useful to have some puffs of weed prior to meditation? I think it sort of silences the body. Personally I find it easier to physically fix myself in a sitting position for a longer duration when under the effect of a minimal amount of cannabis.

    Well, I suppose you could do that but, the brain naturally enters a relaxed state when meditating. The pot may provide a good “primer” but it is completely unnecessary.
