Day 137 of 365 new ways to a new you. Congratulations, you have made it this far. Today is the first day of the rest of your life. Are you ready for tomorrow? This is part of a series that is going to span 365 days. Some things will be subtle other activities will be more involved. At the end of the 365 days even if you do only 20 of these things you will be a new person, for better or for worse.

Day 137: Prepare an emergency kit
The emergency kit can hold any number of things. Think of what would be important to your living situation? Some basics to consider would be waterproof matches, first aid kit, a utility knife, paper, pencil. If you want to prepare for the apocalypse then think of what else you would need, canned goods, bottled water, back up sources of fuel, seeds, etc. If you just want a small pocket kit then pack some small items you can carry with you at all times. Regardless of what type of kit you make it is good to have some cash. If you do not have time to put together your own kit you can always purchase one
