This is part of a series that is going to span 365 days. Some things will be subtle other activities will be more involved. At the end of the 365 days even if you do only 20 of these things you will be a new person, for better or for worse.

“I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience. I know no way of judging of the future but by the past.” ~ Edward Gibbon
Day 163: Research a historical event
Become an expert on a historical event. The event can be on anything and from anywhere in the world. Spend a day learning as much as you can about people places, and things that helped to set the event into motion. What occurred because of this event? Are we better or worse for it? If the event could be changed do you think it should.
When you feel you have done enough research on the subject write down some key point to see if you can recall it on another day. Learning about the past helps us to make informed future decisions. While we may not be in positions of power we have the ability to surmise what needs to be done to effect change if it is needed.
