Think for yourself question authority | Day 62
22 August 07Day 62 of 365 new ways to a new you. Congratulations, you have made it this far. Today is the first day of the rest of your life. Are you ready for tomorrow? This is part of a series that is going to span 365 days. Some things will be subtle other activities will be more involved. At the end of the 365 days even if you do only 20 of these things you will be a new person, for better or for worse.
Before I begin with day sixty two, I must defer you to our Terms and Conditions .
We are constantly hearing stories about corrupt, politicians, corrupt police, and doctor malpractice suits. As children we are all brought up to believe that these people can do no wrong. That is far from the truth though.
Day 62: Think for yourself question authority
At one time or another you will need to question what you are being told. This can be medical, education, or even law related. It doesn’t matter what the subject is but inevitably you will be dis-informed. Your job is to question everything you are told.
“Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.” ~ Buddha
